A very rare HMAS Sydney Bartolomeo Colleoni medalawarded to C Alford who was a cook at the time of the action in the Mediterranean Sea. Alford, luckily for him, was transferred prior to the final voyage br />Unlike others I've seen this is not an oxidized silver and is all the rarer for it. My own researches have found 5 of these medals auctioned in the last 20 years so this would back my understanding that there are very few survivors.
