| Believed born 1833 St Pancreas, London, father Samuel, mother Sarah. He attested as private in 14th Hussars about 1851 aged 18. He was posted with the regiment to Iran during Anglo-Persian war in 1856-57 and served in India during the mutiny, 1857-58. In June 1861 he was with the regiment in Newbridge Ireland. He married Anne Christie in Chatham, Kent in 1864, believed to have died aged 66 in Middlesex, copy details supplied and medal roll extract, for further research.... | |
